Yesterday morning I picked my first radishes! They were very tiny - a little bit bigger than marbles. It's been a terribly cold wet, cold growing season so far, so I'm surprised that they grew that big.
Pulled up about 10, rinsed them off, then put them in my bag for work. Split the harvest with my boss, and proceeded to have them for breakfast. (The package said "French Breakfast", so why not?) Ohh, they were lovely: crisp, delicate yet peppery. Sweet almost. So much better than the ones you buy in the grocery store. Hopefully by the end of the week, I'll have more.
