The tapir is related to horses and hippopotamuses, and is considered a "living fossil." Franklin Park's, I believe (don't remember), is a native of South America. They submerge themselves when they feel threatened. This guy spent a lot of time underwater, and I really can't blame him what with all the screaming and racket from the little semi-domesticated bipeds crawling around outside.
