Where are they now?

I thought Karen was kidding when she mentioned that Louise Woodward first went to law school and then quit that line of work to become a professional salsa dancer. Criminy. Whom do I have to kill to get a deal like that?

Was this one of those shaken baby cases? I don't fully recall the circumstances...

Yes, it was. She was charged with murder and was eventually convicted of (involuntary?) manslaughter...sentence was the time she served in jail (few months short of a year). Lost an appeal, so returned to the UK. The family of the baby that died won a wrongful death lawsuit against her, I think. I don't remember all the details myself, but do sort of remember that it was a huge brouhaha here. I don't remember if it came before or after the Swedish Nanny disappearing after a night of night clubbing and then her torso turning up in the river a few days later.
