She let go another sigh of relief on seeing the back of the most wretched (and mercifully shortest) month of the year.

I feel the same relief when changing the calendar from August to September. Relief from the heat. Finally.

It's bad in your neck of the woods, isn't it. August is when we head waaaay north because Massachusetts is little more than a sauna with bugs then.

We get the sauna effect here too. August is the absolute worst.
