This morning, Pablo, Tony and I sat in thrall watching the scene out the kitchen window. The squirrels discovered the seed dispenser and were trying different ways to get to it from the yew branches.

The window's a bit dirty on the outside, so couldn't actually get any good pictures. This is a pretty good representation, though (from a sadly not very good movie.)

Resolved: this weekend, I raise the feeder, trim the yew branches back even further, wash the kitchen window on both sides.

Yup..bird watching will indeed make one clean the windows more. Squirrel antics keep us endlessly entertained.

OMG - instead of reciting poetry or conjugating verbs or declining nouns, I'm daydreaming about where I can nail cornmeal cakes or apples with peanuts stuck in them! It's amazing!

It's really doing me a whole lot of good. Paul too, I think.

Happy Thanksgiving?

I wouldn't ordinarily say anything but the video I watched did not have a single squirrel. You must have seen a lot of action in your yew tree.

You'd be amazed at some of the acrobatics I see at any given time. It's pretty awesome.
