Am I feeling lucky?

Yesterday was my first day back on the job after a three-month hiatus.

How did it go?

Well, one of the first things I did on the way to work this morning was buy a lottery ticket.

    Snort! My maintenance is that I'm statistically more likely to win if I don't buy a ticket than if I do....still, I think of the old French National Lottery ads featuring Omar Sharif (the irony!) saying "tous qui ont gagné ont tenté leur chance." (Everyone who ever won took a chance.)
