My cube neighbor, Sidra, has to be one of my favorite people here. She has such a sense of humor. The organization got a crateload of toy sized Shaws trucks as a sort of customer appreciation, and since Sidra pays the bills - she received one. On the day of the big Shaws truck flipping in the new big dig tunnel, Sidra instituted a new traffic watch. If the toy truck on her cube wall was upright, traffic on 93 was moving along no worse than usual. If the truck was flipped or on its side, you knew to find an alternate route.
In the spirit of the upcoming holiday, I think I mentioned that Keith, fiscal guy from the field, came a-courting with cocoa-coated marshmallow bats. Sidra's is taped to her Shaws truck now, and this whole installation is known as the "Bat Mobile." This morning, it hit me as to why I'd been feeling such forboding when passing by. The whole setup looks like a prop from quite a few Roger Corman Films.
